Making offerings to Lord Ganesha

The celebrations of Ganesh Chaturthi at Jagriti Dham start with the grand installation of a beautifully and intricately carved idol of Lord Ganesha.The elders and the residents of this old age home, all decked up in their new clothes, stand around in a circle, chant the traditional ‘Ganpati Bappa Morya’ and perform the aarti for the blessings of Lord Ganesha. The elders and residents of the old age home, dressed in their finest, gather around to chant the age-old ‘Ganpati Bappa Morya’ while performing the aarti to invoke the blessings of Lord Ganesha With assistance from our staff members, each resident of the senior citizen home is helped to perform the rituals during the aarti. Prayers and chanting are done daily followed by the distribution of modaks, which are Lord Ganesha’s favorite sweet.

Adding A Cultural Tinge to the Festivities
