Kicking off the celebrations on a high note, Jagriti Dham honoured the bravest son of India on 23rd January. Here in Bengal, and across the nation, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose will always remain a lion-hearted leader known for his fearlessness and patriotism.

Celebrated as Netaji Jayanti, this national festival is observed annually to pay homage to India’s famous freedom fighter on his birth anniversary.

The campus of Jagriti Dhama luxury senior living community came alive with the hoisting of the national flag, followed by an offering of flowers at Netaji’s portrait. Elders fondly remembered stories told to them by their ancestors about Netaji’s bravery and martyrdom. It was heart-warming to witness the captivating debate by our residents.

Draped in the festive colours of the Indian national flag, residents of Jagriti Dhama relived the spirit of “Unity in Diversity” on 26th January.

Event Details: India celebrates Republic Day every year on 26th January to honour the day our Constitution came into effect in 1950.Activities Performed: We conducted a grand flag hoisting ceremony at our sprawling 150-acre green campus. Residents also engaged in a session of patriotic poetry recitation. Followed by decorating their campus buildings in shades of saffron, white and green. The day culminated with a movie session featuring an old patriotic flick at our luxurious in-house theatre.
